The First Blog: About Me

So even though normally people start blogs to keep up with what they do during the summer I'm a little late on the uptake as always. So even though it is almost time for school to start, I'm going to keep writing. Mostly to chronicle the final weeks of my summer and my Junior year in high school. I take the paths in my life and I don't look back and regret the decisions I make. I don't compromise the person I have become through my 16 years of life with stupid decisions that could ruin my chances of having the future that I have always worked for.

My life consists of living in two place, having two sets of friends, and dealing with situations of having divorced parents. For as long as I can remember my parents have been divorced it's something that i grew up with and I've just learned to live with it. There are definite perks of divorced parents, but mostly its hard because my parents live 12 hours away from each other. Because of that minute detail I spend the school year with my mom missing my dad and family, and I spend some holidays and my summer with my dad missing my mom and family, as well as my best friends from school.

My friends help my life thrive and whenever I'm feeling blue they help me get through it. They are the rocks I lean on when there are problems in life and I help them when they need it. I'm sure through the process of reading my blog you will here all about all of my closest friends.

Well now that you've gotten some of the basics of my life I should probably start to tell you what I've been up to during the majority of my summer. During this summer I have sprained my ankle, started working at Dairy Queen, and have spent most of my other free time with my friends. I've been helping with America Cancer Society events and I spent a week camping with some of my family that I hadn't seen in a really long time. I've had a pretty busy summer and I'm kinda bummin that its almost over. But at the same time I'm excited for school to start so that I can see all my friends that I have been missing all summer as well as getting my drivers license in October.

Well that's all for now. I'll write again soon!
