Fighting, Making up, and Parties

My morning started out really badly. My step mom planned a party that I spent the morning cleaning for but during this morning of cleaning I got into a really big fight with her. It was a long morning but we made up and are okay now but OMG, I said some rally harsh things that really hurt my dad's feelings. I also realize that I won't be able to come up for as long next summer due to all the senior stuff I'll have to do. After making up with my step mom we went out to get food and alcohol for the party she was throwing.

While I sit in bed because I'm exhausted I can hear the screaming of children that still haven't left my house. It wasn't as bad of a party as I thought it might of been. There was a ton of delicious food and tomorrow I'm going to have to work out for like 3 hours to burn it all off. haha.

I know lately my posts have been really short but it seems like by the time I get the time to write I'm soo tired that I can't put much effort into it. I'll try harder in the next week.

Shout outs: Mariah have fun at your grandparents this week. Mikaella: Have a fun and safe week at the beach. Savannah: Love ya girl, can't wait to see you and Mariah.

Family and cleaning

Due to the fact that I am leaving to come home for the beginning of the school year we are having a going away party. This party though is stressing my step mom out so badly that she is driving me crazy! She had me cleaning like crazy this afternoon and was just being all around annoying. When really I don't even want to have this party its just kinda a pain in my ass. Thats the end of my cleaning rant.

For a few hours tonight I spent it with my grandmother, who I hadn't seen in months. It was nice to see her, we went out to AppleBees' for dinner and then visited with some other family members. It would have been nice to see my cousin but he had to be a jerk and not be home so I didn't get to see him. But it's all good I'll forgive him later.

Well thats all for now because I may have to get up early and go swim. IDK though. Sleep is going to be a MUST! Just like a guy taller than me.

Long Days and Excuses

So, while I didn't blog yesterday I have a very good excuse and no one should be mad at me. I didn't get home from work until quarter till 12, and by that point I was to exhausted to do anything except fall asleep. So there's my excuse to why I didn't blog yesterday. BTW Mariah and Mikaella, I think we should all get one day where we don't have to blog. Like a free-bee day. Just an idea.

My past two days have been so long that I'm sooo tired that just writing this is being kinda of difficult. Yesterday wasn't to bad I just helped with bible school in the morning and babysat until I had to go to work at 7. Today on the otherhand was pure craziness. First, my dad woke me up saying that he had to leave for work and my brother still wasn't up so I needed to go and get him up so that we could go to bible school and while I really wanted to just say to him, "screw you, let me sleep." I got out of bed got him up and ready to go and then got myself ready in like 20 minutes. After bible school I spent 4 hours freezing outside at a golf tournament before heading to work so that I could work a 6 hour shift. My days have been long but for the next two I don't have long days coming my way. Thank the Lord.

Now I'm going to sleep. TTYL!

Who knew the boys at my church were so cute??

This week I have been volunteering at my church for Vacation Bible School with elementary aged students. Since I don't always attend this church because I'm not always in Warren, but anyway I never realized so many cute boys that attend my church. While I knew that there were some boys in the youth of this church but the realization never came to me that some of these boys were so good looking. What makes me feel better about myself is that in the last few days I've been sitting in the sanctuary before VBS starts and some of the boys will be doing something at the alter and have been looking at me. I don't know if there is something funny looking about me or something but it makes me feel better. Also it seems like they notice me more than the boys at home do but maybe thats because they are a bit more attractive than the ones at home and I don't see them as often so its like a shiny new toy.

Well this was short tonight but I have to get some sleep.

The Differences in Time

So tonight I was talking to my grandma that is in town for a couple of days about the differences between the time when she was in high school and now. Everything had to do with the advancements in technology.
  1. Corded Phones vs. Cordless and Cell Phones -- As a child my grandma had a phone that was connected to the wall with a cord, was part of a party line (sharing the phone line with multiple houses), and had a phone where to dial it was a round turn dial.
This then brought up how many businesses do meetings through conference calls and video chats.
  2. Snail Mail vs. Email, IM, Text Message -- When my grandmother was younger the ways of communication were through a phone call or writing letters. In today's day in age, high school students spend about 75% of there time emailing, instant messaging and text messaging. Communication doesn't take 5 days for information to be passed, everything is done in a split.
  3. Education then vs. Education now -- While my grandma was in school they had chalk boards in the classroom. She told me a story about how they would throw the erasers up to the ceiling to get the chalk out of them and to leave white marks on the ceiling. Today all classrooms have white boards that use dry erase markers. Also every classroom at school has a SmartBoard that helps use all the tools that the world can offer to make every person get the best education ever.
Thats all for today. Going to bed. Have to get up so that the routine for school is instilled into my brain. TTFN!

Family, Geocaching, and Ice Cream

So my day today was alright, not terribly eventful but still enough that some parts pissed me off others made me happy, and even others I'm not quite sure how I feel about it.

This morning, during an amazing dream I was having, I was awoken to get ready for church. It wasn't a big deal I was just overly tired for the rest of the morning. After church my step mom's side of the family came over and we had lunch. Now, normally these lunches are amazing, today's didn't live up to previous lunches. It's all good though because food is food in my book. My grandmother also came into town and I haven't seen her in a while so its nice to see her.

After this family lunch that we had at my house a bunch of us decided to go geocaching, and to start I'll admit I was excited I was driving and everything was all good. Then when I'm so confused and lost I go to follow my dad up a hill and he starts to come down so we are facing each other. So I start to back up and get out of his way and I fun over a hole that is covered by some slats of wood. So as my dad tires to help me out of the situation my step mom is yelling at him to just get me out of the car and fix it for me. Well neither of us wanted to do that, with all the yelling I just started to break down. Who knew driving was so stressful? But then again maybe its just my family.. I may never know. After my breakdown we go to find the geocache and I leave to go and get ready for work.

Ice cream is probably my least favorite substance to date right now. I think that's because I work at Dairy Queen, though. Blizzards are the most annoying thing to make too, especially when they end up in your hair. You can inquire if you want to know what happened but I don't feel like explaining.

Well I'm off to bed. Busy day tomorrow. By the way this post goes out to Mariah for the Second Post of August!

Happy August 1st.

So as I sit outside my house writing to all of my followers (I have 2 right now), I am watching the lush green grass that looks so nice due to all the rain that I have had to bear through with this summer. I can also feel the blazing sun beating down my neck and I'm thinking, this day is a beautiful way to start off the final month of summer. And while saying that probably makes me sound like a downer I don't care because with August beginning, it means many things for me. First of all it means that I will soon fly back to my mom, step-dad, little sister, and all of my friends. Secondly, it means that I will be able to get back to a normal routine. And Third, its means that I will be starting my Junior year of high school and a brand new school never to be used before, and for some odd reason that excites me to no end. I know, as a high school student it is horrible to say that I am excited for school to resume session but sadly it is true. I'm ready for summer to end and the next chapter of high school to begin.

I have spent these first two months of summer wallowing in the fact that I have very few friends at my dad's. Yes, I have the people I've grown up with, and the few neighbors that I have gotten to know in the time I am here every year. But, whats really sad is that while I have sat her, in my bedroom doing nothing waiting for my plans to come to me. People are out having fun and more than likely laughing that I'm the girl that sits at home every night with nothing to do because of the fact that I don't know anyone because I don't attend school in this tiny rinky-dink town. But with summer coming to a close I am learning that the time a spent by self helped me prepare for the fun that will be had when I get home and get to see all of my real friends for the first time in months. haha.

August has come. In the coming 15 days I have may plans. Helping with my church's Vacation Bible School, Golf Tournaments for the American Cancer Society, working, packing, a Bills v. Bears football game, and last but not least a flight at 6:30 in the morning to return back to reality. Once back into reality though I know these words about being ready to start school again are going to come back and bite me in the butt. I will be waiting for the next break we have off but lets just say for now that I can't wait to be back with the people who I really like to spend my time with.

Happy August 1st! :)
